VISION & MISSION
VISION: We envision a healthy New Hampshire where residents become empowered using existing strengths and resources to create healthy families and communities.
MISSION: Reality Check, Inc. focuses on improving behavioral health for families and communities in New Hampshire through prevention. We aim to reduce the costs and negative consequences of substance abuse and mental illness, and to create healthier environments for all New Hampshire residents.
HOW WE GOT HERE
In 2007, Reality Check, LLC began in New Hampshire to assist struggling families to become economically independent. Through weekly meetings, action steps, and long-term advocacy, individuals and families secure family-centered stability.
In 2009, the collapse of the economy led to increased job losses, foreclosures, crime, and alcohol & substance abuse. The federal government and states are attempting to combat increases in widespread alcohol & substance abuse - and do it with drastically reduced resources.
Witnessing the increased disintegration of family and community resilience, we incorporated as a non-profit and expanded our mission to include a systems approach to improve mental and behavioral health. Entire communities can take part in building partnerships and environments where prevention happens.
Collaborative, evidence-based, and data-driven strategies broaden perspectives and positively impact outcomes, reducing substance abuse and mental illness to improve the behavioral health of people of all ages.
